Meet Our Dentists

My name is Dr. Shatha Mechael, and during my 20 years of experience practicing dentistry, I learned and believed that it's important to understand and educate my patients with their current oral need. My mission is to provide the best quality dental care at an affordable price. At El Cajon Family Dental we treat our patients like family.

I am married and have three children. When I am not practicing dentistry and I am at home, I enjoy making all kinds of sweets, and watch Disney movies with my three little ones. I also, love traveling and enjoying the outside nature.

I am a proud member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and San Diego County Dental Society.

Dr. Jorge Rocha was born on February 6th, 1991, in Los Mochis, Mexico. Growing up in a Catholic household and attending Catholic elementary, middle, and high schools, Jorge was instilled with the value of helping others from a young age. It was during his sophomore year of high school that Jorge began working as an assistant, an experience that solidified his passion for dentistry. While he had harbored an interest in dentistry since middle school, it was through hands-on experience that Jorge confirmed his calling to pursue a career in dental care.

After completing high school, Dr. Rocha pursued his dream by studying dentistry at De La Salle Bajio. Throughout his academic journey, Jorge remained dedicated to his studies while also actively participating in extracurricular activities. Outside of his professional pursuits, Jorge found joy in sports, particularly basketball and running. Recently, he has embarked on a new challenge by venturing into triathlons, with the ultimate goal of competing in an Ironman race.

At the core of Dr. Rocha’s beliefs is the conviction that helping others not only enriches their lives but also brings fulfillment to one's own. With this philosophy guiding his actions, Jorge aspires to make a positive impact in his profession. Through his endeavors, Jorge aims to challenge and transform the traditional perceptions of dentistry, striving to elevate the profession and set new standards of excellence.
